Compounded GLP-1 is ending — what to do now

The cheap compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide many people relied on (~$200/mo) is going away. After the FDA declared the shortages over, pharmacy (503A) compounding of these drugs was already restricted, and an FDA proposal in April 2026 would exclude semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide from the 503B outsourcing-facility bulk list — ending that supply too.

What it means for you

If you've been getting compounded GLP-1, plan for it to stop. Do NOT switch to gray-market "research" peptides or unverified online sellers — counterfeits are widespread and dangerous. The legitimate cheaper paths now are manufacturer self-pay programs and the new oral options.
